Outlaw was designed as an ultra light displacement ocean racer, and led the British Admirals Cup team to victory in 1963. Beautifully built by Souters of Cowes for the Right Honourable Sir Max Aitken, MP, she incorporated many innovative ideas, the result of John Illingworth’s vast experience in Ocean Racing. Despite her strong construction of 8 skins of Mahogany, she was successful in the Channel and the North Sea races, such as the Cowes-Dinard. She continues the story to this day, racing in the Classic Mediterrean Circuit.
